The Good Design Award is sponsored by the Japan Institute of Design Promotion , a public interest incorporated foundation, and is given to products with excellent design . The aim of the award is to promote the development of life, industry, and ultimately society as a whole, and it is given to products that are innovative, sophisticated, have created new values, and have given special consideration to the global environment. Many of Toyama Hamono's products have won this award.
